Obadiah 1:17 – “But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will possess its inheritance.”

The Faithful Church as a Refuge or Place of Deliverance – God intends our churches to be a place where people come for salvation, for safety from the judgment that is falling on the world. “Deliverance” is an important aspect of salvation. Salvation is not merely receiving blessings; it is the way Jesus rescues us from eternal death. The Bible says that the “wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23) and that every living person is in this predicament (Romans 3:23). In the Last Days, judgment begins to fall on this world, and we need a place of shelter and safety. That is what the Body of Christ is supposed to be. God wants us to continue faithfully to preach the message of salvation, that we nurture the new souls who are coming to him, and that we produce fruit, an everlasting harvest.
