Song of Songs 8:6-7 -

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23)

“It is good to praise the Lord, and make music to your name, O Most High” (Psalm 92:1).

Praise and worship are important aspects of our spiritual lives, and important functions of the church.  Worship is the only activity that the Bible describes as constantly occurring in heaven, at every moment (Revelation 4:8-11).  Worship is the one activity we do on earth that coincides or overlaps with what is occurring in heaven at that moment.  It is one of the only activities – perhaps the only activity – done on both heaven and earth, at the same time.  We worship because the Lord deserves it, and out of love for Him.  The Holy Spirit operates powerfully during true worship or praise – changing our hearts, bringing light and revelation, working in power. continue

Hechos 13:20-22 - “Después, como por cuatrocientos cincuenta años, les dio jueces hasta el profeta Samuel. Luego pidieron rey, y Dios les dio a Saúl, hijo de Cis, varón de la tribu de Benjamín, por cuarenta años. Quitado este, les levantó por rey a David, de quien dio también testimonio diciendo: “He hallado a David, hijo de Isaí, varón conforme a mi corazón, quien hará todo lo que yo quiero”.

Cuándo el Señor comenzó a trabajar en nuestro medio – en el grupo que llegó a ser conocido como Maranata – una de las primeras grandes experiencias fue la de ver como la Biblia cobraba vida para nosotros de una nueva forma como nunca antes. El Espíritu comenzó a llevarnos más allá de la letra, más allá de una lectura superficial del texto, a un mensaje más profundo y profético contenido en cada pasaje y cada historia. Nos fue claro que el Antiguo Testamento entero señalaba la venida del Mesías, de Jesucristo, y de la obra de salvación que él alcanzaría para nosotros. El proyecto de salvación de Dios es un tema constante que corre a través de las Escrituras. El proyecto de Dios a menudo choca con los proyectos de hombres, inclusive proyectos religiosos bienintencionados de hombre que sigue las opiniones y los órdenes humanos en vez de la voluntad de Dios.
