bangladeshBangladesh – information and prayer needs

SEMINARS: We have not conducted any Maranatha seminars yet in Bangladesh, although the pastors there have requested many times that we visit there to teach seminars for their members.  We tried unsuccessfully to bring some pastors from there to Brazil in February 2008; unfortunately, the Brazilian embassy would not grant them visas to attend the seminars in Brazil at Mahanaim.

bangladeshCONTACTS: We currently have five contacts in Bangladesh who correspond with us regularly. They are all in Dhaka, the capital city, or in Khulna, to the southwest.  They are receiving messages and teachings from Maranatha that they are introducing in their churches.  They have expressed a great interest in the teachings of the Work of God and desire to attend a seminar.  Several other pastors and workers from there have written to us in the past.

SPECIAL PRAYER CONCERNS:

·         Pray for our contacts there to have deep experiences with the Holy Spirit confirming the revealed teachings he has received and strengthening his grasp of the doctrines.  Pray for the Lord to bring more contacts in Bangladesh who are genuinely seeking a deeper experience with the Lord.

·         Pray for deliverance from persecution by Muslim mobs (usually acting without government authority) who sometimes attack believers and burn churches.

image0163·         Please pray for the translation of more materials explaining Maranatha’s teachings and practices into BENGALI, and the effective dissemination of these translations.  Our contacts can read English, but the other church workers and church members there need teaching materials and messages in their own language.  (Such translations would also be very useful for our churches in West Bangal, across the border in India, where nearly 100 million unsaved Bengali speakers live).

·         Pray for the Lord to provide the material resources the churches need – especially for meeting places, Bibles, musical instruments, and other useful equipment.  Most of the country is extremely poor, and the believers tend to be poorer than most of the population.  Floods and other natural disasters wipe out entire villages with alarming frequency.
